Arthur J. Gallagher Service Company, Rolling Meadows, IL, seeks SharePoint Specialist to implement Out-of-the-Box changes & provide end-user support on SharePoint 2010.
Summary of Duties:
Implement Out-of-the-Box changes to applications on SharePoint (SP) 2010 using the rigor of a disciplined development approach. Responsible for release coordination for backlog of issues and enhancements in the maintenance queue on SP 2010 and eventually on SP 2013. Analyze business requirements and opportunities allowing SharePoint users to leverage system capabilities and features without the need for custom code. Estimate difficulty levels, project resource requirements and negotiate with clients and development team to plan delivery dates while managing a portfolio of concurrent initiatives. Work with offshore development team in designing and delivering changes with .Net and SharePoint code. Mock up or use stock demo environments to support discussions with clients during requirements discussions. Support governance policies and procedures including change management. Put together learning sessions to grow and promote SharePoint. Provide end-user support by utilizing interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct end-users on SharePoint products and technologies. Be able to recommend out-of-the-box SharePoint features and assess pros and cons of various features.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Position requires three years of experience with: Microsoft SharePoint 2010; and Experience with implementing SharePoint custom and out-of-the-box changes. Position also requires one year of experience with: Implementing features in a Microsoft SharePoint 2013 “production environment”; Configuring, implementing business use cases for SharePoint features such as Collaboration, Workflow, Managed Metadata, Access/Security Management Models, Document/Records Management, Social Computing, and Search Capability; Articulating and demonstrating SharePoint features, capabilities and limitations to a non-technical business user; Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft SQL server as it relates to the SharePoint environment; and Working with globally located teams with the ability to negotiate with them and successfully deliver on work products which have shared responsibility.
