Comar, a national plastics manufacturing firm, is seeking dependable Production Operator to inspect, pack product, and monitor machine operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine and inspect containers and bottles and packs according to client specifications on the work order.
- Monitors blow molding machine and robots to ensure proper flow of operation
- Weighs formed products for adherence to specifications and regulates spouts to increase or decrease flow accordingly.
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
- Read and understand a Production Schedule and Work Order Pick List.
- Clear the area of any items that on the machinery or floor
- Ensure acceptable quality parts are being produced
- Notify Production Shift Supervisor when machines are producing poor quality ware
- Provide for efficient use of materials, protecting them from contamination
- Perform all job duties following proper "Good Manufacturing Practice" guidelines.
- Record accurate information onto the carton labels.
- Ensure work station is void of debris through housekeeping efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years’ experience in a production or warehouse setting
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Demonstrate the ability to bend, stoop, crawl, stretch, and stand.
- Ability to work effectively on a 12 hour shift schedule
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple-tasks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude, creative, analytical and problem solving skills is a must.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, and possess a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to abide by and execute all safety protocols.
- Team-spirit and proactive "can-do" mentality.
- Uses sound judgment and has the ability to work efficiently in stressful situations.
Education and Experience:
- Must have HS Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Background screen required
- 2-5+ experience in a production or warehouse environment with steady work history
