Golf Maintenance Superintendent - this individual will be responsible for the overall management of golf maintenance operations at our River Heights and Buena Vista Golf Courses. This includes all turf management and horticultural practices related to putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, trees, plants, and flowers. It also includes upkeep and improvements to shelters, fences, bridges, and cart paths. This individual will oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and facilities. Administrative duties include hiring and training of golf maintenance staff, budget oversight, and making recommendations for capital improvements. Education/experience requirements for this position include an Associate’s degree in turf management or related field with 2 years’ experience as a senior manager directing all phases of golf course maintenance.
Mechanic (Golf And Parks Maintenance) -this individual will provide service, repairs and maintenance of golf, turf, and landscape equipment/vehicles used at our River Heights and Buena Vista golf courses along with providing service and repair to the maintenance equipment and vehicles in our Parks department. This includes making major and minor repairs on a variety of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered vehicles and equipment. This individual will also administer the Park District’s preventive maintenance program for equipment and vehicles. Education/experience requirements for this position include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years’ experience in vehicle and landscape/turf equipment repair. A mechanic’s school certification is a plus.
