Forklift Driver
This position requires pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying between 10 and 50lbs repeatedly, the position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching and squatting.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Graduate preferred
Experience:
Ø Must work well in a team orientated manufacturing and office environment.
Ø Able to read, write and communicate in English
Ø Strong Math and English (verbal & written)
Ø Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ø Previous material handling experience.
Ø Certified Forklift Operator License
Ø Ability to effectively manage priorities.
Ø Ability to be team lead with a cooperative attitude and good interpersonal skills.
Ø Must be able to read a tape measure to accuracy of 1/16th.
Ø 1-2 years’ experience in working in manufacturing environment
Certification:
Ø OSHA 10 hour training is preferred but not essential.
Ø Forklift Certification.
Responsibilities:
Ø Adheres to the Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions of the QMS and continuous improvement.
Ø Safely transport material between departments and storage.
Ø Ensure material is properly identified prior to moving.
Ø Execute transactions within ERP utilizing bar code scanners and personal computer.
Ø Respond in a timely manner to material requests from work cells.
Ø Ability to read and respond to Bill of Materials
Ø Work with Inventory Manager in maintaining accurate inventories by conducting periodic audits as required.
Ø Monitor and report status of equipment used including software, hardware and material handling equipment to Inventory Manager.
Ø Practice 6S methodologies.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned by the Inventory Manager
Ø Perform various physical duties as assigned, including but not limited to assembly, sorting & staging.
Ø Practice good housekeeping to ensure safety of self and all personnel.
Ø Regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
