Ground Maintenance Person

Putnam County Conservation District is looking for a ground maintenance person. Responsibilities include finish mowing two sites weekly, rough mowing large acre areas monthly, maintaining walking trails, keeping brush cut back off trails and removing downed trees that fall across horse and walking trails.

Able to drive a tractor, plow roads and parking areas in the winter. Basic upkeep of equipment, changing oil in mowers and tractor when needed yearly and changing mower blades out as needed and be able to use a chainsaw.

Cleaning shelters, cabin, and education room for reservations when needed. Able to work independently during all seasons outdoors, valid driver's license and able to pass a background check and drug test.

Pay rate dependent on job skill. IMRF retirement plan with fulltime status. Summer work schedule March 1- Sept 30, 80 hours bi-weekly. October 1- February 28 Winter schedule 64 hours bi-weekly. Must be flexible to adjust schedule to fulltime year around if needed.
