Site Maintenance Person
Putnam County Conservation District is looking for a Site Maintenance Person part-time that will lead to full-time site position.
Hours: Monday through Friday with the possibility of weekends 24-28 hours a week to start.
Wage: starting at $15.00 an hour during probationary period with regular evaluations.
Benefits: IMRF retirement benefits with 1000 hours of work each year.
Must pass a drug test.
Applicant must possess a valid driver's license, must be able to lift 50+ pounds. Be able to use a chain saw, pole saw, string trimmers and run a zero-turn mower and full-size tractor. Must also able to walk up to two miles along trails while carrying equipment and be able to work independently.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Skills: Basic equipment maintenance knowledge, some carpenter skills a plus, basic computer knowledge and keep good records.
Must be comfortable working in all weather and with the public.
