Police Officer Applicants
The Shorewood Police and Fire Commission will be accepting applications for the position of patrol officer to the Shorewood Police Department.
Applications will be available at www.ApplyToServe.com beginning Monday, November 1st, 2019. All applications must be completed in full and returned no later than Friday, December 6th, 2019 by 4:00 p.m. CST. There will be a $45 non- refundable fee for the application packet. Applications will be limited to the first 150 applications submitted (not purchased).
Applicants must be United States citizens, must have obtained a high school diploma or GED certificate, shall not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude, and must possess a valid driver's license. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age, as of December 18th, 2019 unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner's Act.
A mandatory orientation and a mandatory written examination will be held. Details will be in the application packet.
Effective April 1, 2020, the base salary is $66,797.00 with a competitive benefits package.
