In collaboration between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Social Work and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS), support the implementation of the state’s adopted evidence-based interventions through the Family First Prevention Services Action (FFPSA). For the assigned region, provide continuous quality improvement (CQI) to the provider agencies that utilize evidence-based interventions adopted by IDCFS to enhance the service array for children and families served. Work with agencies that serve the target population identified under the FFPSA to enhance referral pathways and general knowledge of the adopted interventions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practice Implementation Functions: Provide field support to enhance the transfer of learning from training to field operations; This includes presentations to stakeholders;
- Continuous Quality Improvement Functions: In collaboration with the Division of Quality Assurance, support the collection and dissemination of data from utilization of evidence-based interventions within DCFS in order to enhance continuous quality improvement;
- Monitor application of quality assurance protocols and fidelity tools to promote fidelity to the evidence-based models adopted by Family First and consistency in application;
- Obtain data collection, analysis and reporting protocols to be used with assigned agencies and by the FFPSA evaluation team;
- In collaboration with DCFS, participate in the implementation of program evaluation and research activities.
- Serve as a member of the implementation team to enhance practice strategies to achieve outcomes: Implement strategies to foster engagement, coordination, and integration of evidence-based child welfare practices as required to achieve specified outcomes. Builds collegial relationships with diverse professional networks and supports program communications with stakeholders by providing program data and information;
- Supports the development of effective strategies to advance the engagement/ “buy-in” and ongoing skill development of stakeholders in implementation of the FFPSA.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree. Five or more years of professional experience in public-sponsored, agency-based child welfare setting providing a combination of direct child welfare casework including Intact Family Services. Demonstrated experience in using evidence-based intervention, using data to inform practice improvements, and facilitating professional groups.
SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
This is a full-time civil service position located in Chicago, IL. The position is grant-funded and renewal is contingent upon availability of funds. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The proposed start date is as soon as possible after the closing date.
